Infa Red Antenna
The Infra Red Antenna are located in the area of coverage & enable both the transmission & reception of infra red signals. All infra red antenna are connected to a simple serial bus which allows full duplex communications between the basestation and the mobile users.
The antenna provides transmission of infra red through the front cover over an angle in excess of 90 degrees with a range of up to 10 metres.
The antenna is of small size being only (125X125X130mm). Each antenna is supplied with a mounting bracket which allows simple installation and ease of adjustment to ensure that the antenna can be pointed in the most appropriate direction. The use of cable glands ensures that the environmental rating is maintained.
Visual indication is provided so that it can be confirmed the antenna is functioning correctly. Each antenna monitors for correct operation and automatically disconnects from the "daisy chain" in the case of a malfunction. Areas of up to 100 square metres can be covered by each antenna. Systems can have any number of antennas from 1 to a maximum of 100.
